Depending on fitness levels and group size, this track takes between 5 and 7 hours to cycle.
 
With bases in both Raetihi
(Raetihi Holiday Park and Cabins 0800 40 88 88)
and at the river end of the Mangapurua Track,
(Bridge to Nowhere Lodge 0800 480 308) we are the only operators ideally located to cover all your transport and accommodation requirements all under one roof.

Tours depart from our base at the Raetihi Holiday Park on SH4 top of the Parapara Scenic Highway. Using our transport service or your own, we will drive you down the Ruatiti Valley to the start of the Mangapurua Track. For the more energetic and adventurous rider, you can start your ride from the holiday park.  Ride the back country roads for 40km to the beginning of the track aprox 2 -3 hours.

At the start of the ride you will be given a tour map indicating approximate times, places of interest and historic sites to see. Later that day at a pre determined time, Bridge to Nowhere Tours will meet you at the Mangapurua Landing and transport both you and your bikes back to Pipiriki and then catch the bus back to your car. Our jet boats have been specially modified to carry your bikes safely!

Pricing and Options

Option1

• Leaving your car at the Raetihi Holiday Park board shuttle bus which will take you and your bike down through the Ruatiti Valley to the start of your bike ride.
• At the end of your ride meet our jet boat at the Mangapurua Landing and we will jet you back the 30km to Pipiriki.
• Meeting the bus again at Pipiriki be transported back to your car at the Raetihi Holiday park

Option2

• Leaving your car safely parked at the Raetihi Holiday Park ride the 40km back country roads down to the start of the track.
• At the end of the track meet the jet boat at the Mangapurua Landing and we will take you the rest of the way down river to Pipiriki.
• Meet the bus to take you back up to Raetihi and your cars.
