Canoe and Kayak Hire

For those of you that don't have the time to do the 3 day tour, we have developed special 1 and 2 day adventures. We can jet boat you into the most scenic areas of the Whanganui National Park, where little has changed for hundreds of years, and you can canoe yourself back.

The scenery is fantastic and the paddling is classed as easy.
We supply canoes, life jackets and paddles.
You supply the fun.
Department of Conservation (DoC) passes are NOT REQUIRED.

If you are staying at our lodge or campground, we can offer you a variety of options.

EXPLORE ONE DAY OPTION  6-7 hours
Come with us on our jet boat tour and visit the world famous Bridge to Nowhere. Take a picnic lunch to eat on the bridge - we supply the tea and coffee.
After lunch, lay back and listen to the sounds of the bush, the birds and see nature at its finest. Your guide will share stories of the river and of years gone by.
Returning back to the jet boat you will cruise further down the river. Then board your canoe and paddle the last 1, 2 or 3 hours (you can choose) back to Pipiriki. You can stop at places that interest you, take photos, have a swim and just relax as you float on down this majestic river.
BACKPACKER SPECIAL
Visit the Bridge to Nowhere as above and stay the night at our exclusive campground on the banks of the Whanganui River. Spend the next day canoeing back to Pipiriki.

THE EXPRESS - For those with little time
the ½ day option will suit you
Jet boat up river for 10km and canoe yourself back to Pipiriki, exploring side streams and gorge areas as you go. You tell us how much canoeing you want to do.  Approx 2 – 4 hours - its up to you!
